My son was born in Tennessee (no state income tax) but changed his residency to Florida (also no state income tax) when he went to Pensacola. He's in California now but his vehicles still have Florida tags and they have Florida licenses.
Don't most states that require you to get their license...
My DS and DDIL both graduated from the VTCC and VT in 2021. DDIL was VPI and DS was NROTC. They loved VT and Blacksburg. They made friends there that they will have for the rest of their lives. They've even traveled across several states to be in each others weddings.
I thought I would post an update. DS and DDIL are in Monterey (Seaside) and are getting settled in to their house (housing). DS is checked in and classes start on the 5th.

NW3276 Joint Maritime Operations...

His undergrad is Construction Engineering and Management (STEM). And, although he may never need it, he took the FE (Civil Engineering focus) and passed it. The program they are pushing him toward is Cyber Systems and Operation which is an 8 quarter program so it will take 2 years. I assume...
Since he and his wife just celebrated their first anniversary with their 14ish week old golden retriever puppy, they have two of the three D's covered. Hopefully, they never get the third one. LOL!
Son commissioned a year ago and, after getting DQ'd for aviation, got redesigned CW, is getting ready to report for school in March and will be reporting to Georgia once he finishes. He just got an email from his detailer asking if he is interested in going to NPS and then going to CW school...
