    wearing JROTC uniform

I am not wearing mine. I think your application and conduct is more important than what you wear, you will do well if you prepare, do what you feel is best.

    2016 admissions questions

Yes, the USNA only uses Math and English. Your son's average is a 27, which is roughly the same as a 1210 on the old SAT. Your son may want to retake the ACT in Sept, and take the SAT, you never know. LOA's are relatively rare, have nothing to do with the nomination source (qualifying for...

    Advice for a new applicant

First, you are not late, to my knowledge the airforce academy has not sent out official packets, I recommend that your son fill out the Pre-Candidate Questionaire, you will then be entered into the Applicant pool. Second, you need a congressperson,Senator, or VP for a nomination, not a...

    NASS

Just got back as well. Completely agree, the shorts they give you will be used for PT, class room, and dinner, I highly recommend that you bring at least one extra pair of shorts to sleep in as the three pairs will get pretty nasty. I also recommend that you have a system where you wash and dry...

    How Can I Improve?

Looking very strong in your extra curriculars. I am no expert, but the only place that I think you could improve on is academics. Perhaps retake the SAT, and try the ACT, because I did alot better on the ACT than the SAT. Good Luck bro!

What do my chances at the U.S. Naval Academy look like so far?

Do Sea Cadets, I am a Sea Cadet, and it is one of the best programs I have ever taken part in. If you want to know about the military, Sea Cadets is one of the best ways to get involved, you can take trainings at military bases, and see what life is really like. Boot Camp is both mentally and...
