Our DS finished his application early November, but received remedials for sports injury that added about three weeks to the process. His nominations for USAFA and USNA came via call, then mail around Thanksgiving. The appointment was first think in the morning Christmas Eve.

I hope I've followed the reporting process correctly. This forum has been a wealth of knowledge for a parent with no experience in the service academies. Our DS was very excited to tell us about his status being changed to appointee this morning.
