The problem is I have 0 intent to apply to or attend a public university. I had to put down 3 that I'm not applying to... oh well.

What exactly are the events for the test required for an AROTC scholarship? Is it the APFT (2 mins pushups, 2 mins situps, 2 mile run) or something else? Also, why do I have to include two public colleges in my "intended schools" list? Do I actually have to apply to the ones I put down? Thanks!

Just to make 110% sure, West Point does not ask for optional/required letters of recommendation, correct? I have teachers on board with Evaluations, but I don't need any formal/traditional recommendations? I'm pretty sure USNA does encourage this, so just checking. Thanks!

I will say that at SLE they told us to just do as much as possible for every event, regardless of the maximums. Albeit they were cadre and not admissions staff, but you may as well put your all in it. Something to keep in mind, however, is that it is NOT worth it to over-max an event if that...

Okay, thanks for the info. If I do get the nomination, qualify, and accept, and then become medically disqualified (i.e. contract asthma or something) all of a sudden, I should still have a plan B college or two, correct? Also yes, I understand the early due dates required.

If a candidate receives an LOA now and accomplishes all the additional requirements (nomination, complete file, medical qualification, etc.), when, roughly, will they receive the offer? And if it is received very early (i.e. well before the large March pool), will they have to respond early too...
