While that’s certainly an option, i would ask myself if that’s truly my passion and weigh that against using the same amount of time and effort spent towards whatever areas you need to overcome/improve.

Always apply for all noms available. (No ride? Find one...if there’s a will, there’s a way). I regularly find applicants who haven’t applied for all possible nominations when doing interviews. Best of luck - and Beat WVA!

My DS got a C, then D in senior year (Calculus). He did a prep year, got strong grades and turned the negative into a positive and is now a plebe at USNA- similar to what @StPaulDad says above.

I know there's some griping about the athletes and supposed special treatment, but those folks put in a ton of extra hours and work in representing their schools. No complaints here - let's all cheer them on! My plebe son at USNA played HS football and totally gets how much work and dedication...
