I would suggest it's not just the school itself but a particular program that may be a "reach." My DS has pretty good stats (I think), at least compared to the profile of University of Colorado. He got admitted to the school as an out-of-state candidate, but only pre-engineering, not directly...

Thanks theroyz71. I think I've seen this mentioned in different threads also and tried to look but can anyone either point me to that thread, or provide some information about who is eligible for this; the time commitment, etc.? I believe it may only be available in conjunction with Army ROTC...

OK, sounds like it's worth a try; contacted the financial aid office but not the Corps of Cadets... (I know we're really reaching here...)

Right, learned that the hard way; i.e., short $1400 from qualifying at TAMU. Again, I do not think VTech has that same deal, but does anyone know if there is any way to get in-state tuition at VTech for out-of-state students? I'm guessing not, don't see anything on the website but...
