We always included a self addressed stamped envelope with our letters to make it easier. I think most of his friends did the same when they wrote. I also had blank paper at his going away party for everyone to write him notes & then I mailed them bulk at a time during BCT so he has mail daily...
Our DS and his buddies love going to Crave to get a great burger and shakes! We also like Shuga's & Phantom Canyon for food. Garden of the God's is a must to go see and if you have time make the drive up Pike's Peak!
For what it’s worth..our DS was a preppie & now class of 2025. If you asked him, he never would have given up the year he had there. Some of the best memories & friends for life. Many go on to lead their class as they move up the hill. Congrats!!!
Our DS had his truck and loved every minute of it! He was able to go to church and do things on weekends once they earned those privileges. He didn't take it until after Christmas break though. He did a road trip with friends to take it to the P and then road trip home with my husband after...
He has been at USAFA prep since July & is graduating Wednesday. They just announced appointments today for USAFA Class of 2025. They have a short break & return!
Have waited 10 months at the Prep school to be able to post this! Not really sure how to list it as a preppie...

1st batch of Prep School appointments are being announced today so thinking that might be a piece to the building of the class of 2025. Patience is something we have learned to grow in over the last 10 months.
Our DS is finishing up his Prep year now. It was such a blessing! He is actually "up the Hill" now getting tour and info for next year! Congrats. #preppiesforlife
He did not need new letters for the academy as everything rolled over. He sent in the same letters for nominations as the year before but you can get new ones if you want to.
Our DS is at USAFA prep now. He did not have to retake any tests. His application carried over & only had to reapply for nomination. Congratulations!
Once a preppie..ALWAYS a preppie! It’s a blessing!
They will give you a list. Only bring what is on the list. You can always have things shipped to you later but you will have to carry everything you bring. Our DS had everything he needed in his backpack.
