Our MOC ended up with 3 Appointtes straight out of high school and 2 Falcon Scholars this year so 5 2020 Appoimtees out of his district. Not sure how this happened but it did. It never hurts to keep trying. From what I've seen, tenacity is rewarded.
From from what I understand, receiving the Billy Mitchell award is equivalent to an Eagle Scout. It's notunique, however, it is a plus.
My DS only took 2 years of high school Spanish because his schedule was impacted. He took four years of Laboratory science and 2 years of computer science...
For anyone needing the flu shot, check with your local health department. All of the pharmacies and doctor's offices were out because it wasn't flu season where we live but our local health department still had them so we were able to get it through them.
From a mother's perspective, CAP gave my DS the opportunity to learn about leadership and the importance of being a team player. Both of these things are important in any direction you choose to go.
I have two questions:
1. I see that bringing a pair of ABU boots is highly recommended but not required. Any insight from a current cadet would be appreciated. We are trying to keep my DS packing list to a bare minimum.
2. Molded cleats are permitted but how important are they during BCT...
