Our son is there at MAX 1 too, enjoying the challenge and being with like-minded young men. It has been fun to get real letters from him. His girlfriend and her mom will be at the graduation. Pima, thanks for the reminder about mess dress.

to T-Bone That is really good news. I was hoping my son's experience was a fluke. It is building his character, all the waiting. He got the last piece of the uniform yesterday, so having that complete made his day.

Chiming in: us too! We dropped our son off at SIU last week, went to his AFROTC orientation and met his cadre, future cadets and several sets of parents. He is in really good hands and having a blast with the cadets and his campus ministry group. His roommate is also AFROTC and a pretty good...
