At my sons school the Navy only gave the "Big Checks" & backpacks with some surprises in them to the 3 kids that had passed all of the medical requirments. The other 3 kids that are waiting on medical did get recognized verbally and I believe they may have received a small certificate.
Typically that is good news. My son had the same situation, the web site lagged about 2 weeks. He got his Nrotc offer in the mail before the website changed. Same thing with dodmerb:thumb:
I am sure every parent has thought about what may happen if their child joins the military. But to be honest does anybody in the military have a greater chance of being injured then the average Joe crossing the street and being hit by a bus. I agree with the OP, some people only see the negative...
I agree totally, I get the same comment all the time. I just tell them that I could not be prouder of him to want to serve his country and working so hard to get his NROTC schloarship.:thumb:
I want to congratulate all the cadets who applied for and received NROTC Scholarships at Zion Benton Township High School. I believe it was 6 cadets that applied and all 6 have been awarded a scholarship.
What a great program they have there.
Again Congratulations and keep up the good work...
The Link works just fine.
To answer the question, It looks like from this memo that this is a true statement.
I would check with Pms at the school to double check the information.
He is qualified DODMERB thru ROTC.
We have also sent back the letter to Pensacola accepting the schloarship.
I was just wondering if the ball is back in the Navy's court? Is there more paper work coming? When?
Do we sign on the line for the college yet or wait?
That is a good idea about...
If you just did Nrotc then you wait untill after they make an offer.
If you did the academy then you would have done your physical at the time of application.
Does anybody know a ballpark number of how many Nrotc Schloarships do they give out? My sons offer had a 4 digit number in the upper corner.
Just Curious.
My son got his offer for Nrotc and he has qualified unrestricted thru Dodmerb.
What is next in the process. Does Nrotc get a hold of him for more paperwork?
Does he need to contact the school?
Can any body tell me the next few steps
Thanks,
My son had his medical exam and opto exam this week for his nrotc scholarship. The Application Status on the dodmets website now shows the following for the status
"Current Status: Complete-hold"
It is the word "hold" that has me concerned.
Does anybody know what that might mean?
Thanks
My son got his offer in the mail today, even though the Website said "No descision". He got his DODMERB packet in the mail earlier in the week.
He got his 2nd choice school. Its going to be a Great Christmas :thumb:
