Marion has one of the highest acceptance/appointment rates to USMA over the past several years.

If there is any advice to offer in your DS's pursuit of an appointment, it is to take the AoG and don't look back. Most if not all of the AoG cadets had ROTC offers as well. Personally Marion has exceeded all my expectations as well as my sons in regards to academics and his appointment hopes...

If you opt to accept the AOG, highly recommended, you can still be appointed from the NWL. However, chances are very slim. My son is at Marion as well and he wouldn't have wanted it any other way!! He'll be joining the USMA's 2018 class July 2nd at A Day.

All of the civil prep cadets at MMI got appointments. (I believe 25 cadets)

Speak to your FFR in regards to an AoG civil prep spot.
