Any SLE 2024 notices received yet?

I love this. My son is using SLE to help him decide whether USMA is something he wants or not. He's not focusing on the CFA right now because he's in track season, but knows if he decides he wants to go that he'll have to do so over summer. Good to see that not everyone is already in perfect...

    What are LOAs based on?

I never knew USMA gave out LOAs until reading this forum (to my knowledge, CGA did not do this when I went years ago). I'm curious what triggers an applicant to get one, and when are they sent out?

    SLE travel

My son was accepted to SLE, and went to accept the offer through the portal today. It allowed us to pay for the program, but is requiring our travel info before we can actually "accept". I understand they need the information, but he's traveling from the West Coast, and is quite a process to get...

    SLE ACT question

He actually went to the cross country sports camp at USAFA last summer - it was a great intro also! Luckily, his ACT scores were great. We'll submit those for now, and update moving forward.

    SLE ACT question

Hello! When my son took the ACT last fall, he wasn't considering SLE/USMA and didn't take the writing portion. I know the writing portion is required for admission to USMA, but is it required for the SLE? He won't have time to retake with writing prior to the SLE application closing. Thanks!

    USMA red/green colorblind

Yeah, I know he can't pass that test - I'm asking about the "vivid red/green" test that is specific to Army when you fail the first one. I can find a description of the test, but I'd love to see a picture of what vivid red/green actually look like to see if he can distinguish them before...

    USMA red/green colorblind

My son might be interested in USMA - both myself and his dad went to USCGA, but recognize that red/green colorblindness is disqualifying there. From what I've read, it appears as though if the Ishihara treat is failed, a "vivid red/green" test is given (only army does this). If that is passed...
