EA is mainly for recruited athletes and minorities. If you think that you can have your best application submitted by October - go for it. EA is a more concentrated group with only high schoolers where as RA is general admissions (prepsters, college students, and high school students)
Don't take it to heart. For people who don't attend AIM, the spots for Cadet for A Day are offered first and then opened to everyone else. Ultimately, it's just to see if the academy is right for you and it puts you through a mock swab summer...which is only an example of seven weeks out of the...
