USNA says DQ, but DODMerb shows Under Waiver Review

I noticed that on my own USNA portal that while it is marked as Disqualified, I also saw that next to it there is something that says "Date Sent to DoDMERB" and the day September 27th next to it. Is this a signal that they've requested the waiver or will they make it more obvious than that? Note that 7/27 was the day my CFA was qualified and over a month after I received my disqualification, so it would make sense that they waited for me to be qualified in every other way.

Also qualified for CFA Jul y20, 2023, just waiting for a nom. I reached out to my regional counselor and he responded with some tips and told me I was likely to get one. However, I attempted to follow up after no waiver was sent my way and no answer from my regional counselor. Nothing from DODMERB either

USNA - Waiver Pending
DODMERB - Correspondence Posted - Program(s) Requested Review of Medical (Under Waiver Review)
DODMETS - Case Closed (Finished AMI, DODMERB and USNA has yet to receive)

From some reading, USNA pursues waivers for those that are competitive enough for an appointment.

This morning, DS USNA app went to "Pending Waiver" to "Waived by USNA."
DODMERB stays says: "Under DoDMERB Review"

DODMERB Physical - August '23
DQ'd - September '23 (status changed to "UNDER WAIVER REVIEW")
Waiver Pending (USNA portal) - Mid Feb 2024
Waiver granted - Jan '24 (USMMA) & mid-Feb '24 (USNA)

no word from USAFA & USCGA yet.

DS was DQ'd for concussive symptoms lasting more than 30 days (he was injured when he was 8 yrs old). We never saw the AMI request, but about 6 weeks after the portal DQ'd him, I reached out to the pediatric neurology clinic and they provided a letter stating he had fully recovered.

It was a great feeling to see the USNA portal change from Red to Green.
