Avatar: The U.S. Navy seal inspired a large pin created by well-known Washington, D.C. jewelry designer Ann Hand. It was a gift from my husband at my Navy retirement ceremony. These large statement pins, coupled with a power suit, are often worn by female politicians, executives and senior civil service executives in the DC Metro area or national settings. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright was known for her statement pins, including Ann Hand. I always feel dressed up /armored up when I wear it. Battle rattle when in civilian mode. I know I went on at length about this, but DH wowed me on this one, and he knew it. (And yes, there is a USNA crest pin…)
Userid: Basic. I should have used my Navy nickname given to me in an XO tour: Attila the Hunnette. I have a thing about starting and ending meetings on time and never being late with performance evaluations or other deadline projects. One has to provide impetus at times. Alas, I didn’t think of it when I wandered in here. (Just asking, is this place like Hotel California, where you can never check out?)
If you don’t want to squint, here’s what the avatar looks like in real life:
