Just For Fun: How Did You Pick Your Avatar?

I’m a lazy MIDN at heart, I simply chose my class crest.

Actually, I chose my class crest because that’s how we visually identify ourselves to each other.
Ok, but what about the grilled cheese?

Door pic. Door username. I see a theme 🚪
Avatar is of a water tight door, properly "dogged" or closed (handle down). The doors help prevent flooding on vessels. For those unfamiliar, the user ID represents the everyday midshipman at USNA. The rotunda in Bancroft Hall has (had?) a midshipman sample room with the door name plates WT Door and his roomie Joe Gish. Today, Joe Gish would need to be changed to Jo Gish to indicate female roommates. Maybe USNA should rotate the nameplates every six months to indicate male or female occupants.

my user is just me liking the navy and my birth year, my pfp is pretty obvious

That's the rate insignia of the Navy Chief. We'll let you use it.

School circle: Navy enlisted have rate, not rank. People, even career sailors and officers, will say rate when they mean rating. Rating is the occupational specialty/job. Rate is pay grade.

Wife and I spent a week in Scotland where all of a sudden she discovered tea even though I've gifted her with tea related items plus the tea itself. Soon as we got home she ordered a tea pot so she could pour hot water instead of microwaving it.

But what about time to go?

The answer is a lot. We only lost to Army one time in my 4 years.
Here's a slight rework of your avatar if you choose to use it.
I'll redo to make it sharper if you wish
