DQ'd, How To Pursue AROTC/SMP?

Greetings,

I was DQ'd for history of atopic dermatitis/eczema by USAFA and USCGA which I am no longer pursuing. I also applied for an AROTC scholarship (did not receive), but I don't know if DoDMerb has that on record as only USAFA and USCGA appears on the results. I will be starting college this fall 2011, and would like to try and pursue AROTC/SMP at a state univeristy (non-scholarship) and commission after 4 years.

I know you are suppose to complete DoDMERB before you contract AROTC (sophmore year) and MEPS for SMP, but since I was already DQ'd by service academies, should I apply to the ROTC/SMP program anyways and complete another DoDMERB later for AROTC or apply and try and get a waiver for current Med Results. I heard that each program is different, but I'm assuming that I need a waiver anyways bc of the DQ condition. Kind of confused about what to do and how things work.

Note: I did send an email on 5/19 to Mr. Mullen, but I understand he will be leaving.
