Hello,
I am a part of USNA Class of 2018, and was wondering if I am supposed to send in my 2nd semester college transcripts to Navy, as USNA has not asked for them. Thanks!

If you've got them send them.

If a candidate already has an appointment and there is no specific requirement to submit 2nd semester grades (which I do not believe there is), why do it?

Isn't one of the instructions, among the many included with the Permit-to-Permit, a requirement to send the academy your final transcript? That should cover the 2nd semester grades. I see no reason to do anything special beyond what is required.

I always say, "Once appointed, do only those things that are specifically required - nothing more, nothing less."

Once you've received an appointment - stop competing for an appointment! There is no reason to either "sweeten the pot" or "confess your sins".

If your 2nd semester grades are super-duper. So what? You've already earned an appointment.

If your 2nd semester grades are poor - let THEM figure that out! Even if they are poor, it hardly ever makes any difference anyway ... provided you graduate.

Actually, I think USNA requests them directly from your school. Last year our DS never sent them in, but somehow they were acquired by the USNA.

I'd send them in for the purpose of aiding in class validation. You never know what could help in the long run.
