A friend of mine found a USNA ring in Dinwiddle VA, searching the beach with a metal detector. I don't want to give out all of the description, but it is class of 73 and has the number 43 on it. Can anyone give guidance on how to track down the owner?

It is USNA, not USAFA that is why I was asking.

I am pretty sure they will be quickly able to figure out who the ring belongs to do to the fact the initials are inscribed in the ring....or at least I am going to assume it is there initials.

Google "Naval Academy Alumni Association lost class ring." Takes you to the page for Lost-Found form. Alumni Assn acts as the middleman.

Lots of great "found" stories over the years!

Very cool- I'm sure that someone saw this as an unexpected
Christmas present.:thumb:

Do you think that they are reading Facebook in Damascus these days? 23 years ago, my then 2 year old son threw my class ring off the balcony of our apartment into the city street. Perhaps?

AMAZING! Happy the owner was found! I was following this on facebook! Didn't know it was originally from you!

The photo I saw on Facebook floating around wasn't a USNA ring... it could have been a different one I guess.
