I have a few midshipmen friends and I texted one this morning. They are on a two hour delay so I am assuming that goes for their admissions office as well. Hopefully something by the end of the day. I still read "Complete Pending Review"
 
Actually called the office of Admissions today to inquire about transcripts and my admissions counselor said that they haven't heard of any big wave of appointments today.
 
That's what I was told yesterday and I have been checking my portal all day. I am going to continue to do so because of what I was told.
 
Per the Facebook post:

The Admissions Office will start emailing Turndown Notifications to candidates on Feb 9, 2016. This will continue on a weekly basis through April 15, 2016. Candidates will be notified of USNA Offer Status via email / online application (CIS).
 
Doesn't really say offers of appointment will be going at the same time though.

Most candidates bounce between here and the candidate group. On occasion, I share the link here and often refer to certain threads on questions I can't officially answer (Medical and NCAA).
 
Just a word of caution. Keep in mind that even a "large" wave of appointments go out today and you aren't among them it may not mean anything. Your app may not have been reviewed today. The Academy itself says there is no rhythm or reason to the order in which applicants and/or slates are reviewed.

And be glad you are not among the first to get that TWE, because turndown letters are going out today also.
 
Will USNA notify applicants if they are rejected when they review the file?
If your portal changes will they send an email? My DD did not receive an email when the nominations were added.
