appointment

Mman5247- if you are academically qualified and was put on hold "NWL" can one still email admissions that you express an interest in a prep school or no?

Our DS was denied for low scores. He then asked his admission representative about prep. He was told in March that USMMA sponsored prep slots were already full.

Pretty much the only people that the academy wants to prep are athletes that the coaches want or diversity (minorities). Think about it, the academy denies hundreds of 3Q'd kids every year. That said, you can always just go to another maritime academy, that's what we are after all.

He is thinking about going to community college for a year then reapplying or even joining the Navy.

I was denied for the same reason last year. I am doing a year at a university doing ROTC which earned me an appointment this year. Of course, I did have to improve my scores, but I did. I suggest following the same path!
