Received LOA but no nomination yet

I have recently received a LOA from USAFA but I have not yet had an interview with my senator or even been contacted by my senator for an interview. The senator said that they have not yet made a decision on who they will choose for an interview. I have applied to VP and have not heard back. I applied to District and received an interview but I originally selected my District nomination for West Point. Is there anything I should do to increase my chances of receiving a nomination from my Senator? Should I inform my senator that I have received a LOA? If I receive a nomination from my district representative, could I request for it to be switched to USAFA?

Thanks

1. Yes. Humbly inform your Senator's office of your LOA. Humble is an important word here.
2. If you want to have your rep nominate you to USAFA you are much better informing them now than after choices have been made. ALso, humbly let them know you have the LOA. Presumably it can't hurt, and it might help.

I trust you applied to all sources for your nomination.

That said, Kinnem is wise. Let them know you have received an LOA.

Thank you for the advice. I will definitely contact my Senator to inform them of the LOA.

Will the LOA greatly increase my chances of receiving a Nomination?
Also, what are the chances that my District Representative will agree to change my nomination from West point to USAFA? Will I need to do another interview with USAFA graduates?

No one knows the chances of your rep making the change. Anecdotally, I have seen it happen. I can't speak to the interview at all.

The LOA might increase your chances of a nomination. However, there is no guarantee. There is another recent thread where someone had an LOA but did not receive any nomination. It happens every year.
