I think Yellowjacket might be thinking that there might be more news from Round 3 of EA. Seems like most of what has come out so far, that I've heard of anyway, has been prep program appointments. Everyone who has gotten a green light or a prep appointment is so lucky! It's hard to wait!

No. Staff and cadets don't get the same time off. Last year, the last round of EA decisions came out on December 23rd. Also, you must remember that an applicant can receive 1 of 5 possible decisions; acceptance, rejection, waitlist, CGAS acceptance or CGAS waitlist. Applying to any service academy and hearing back from them is a marathon, not a sprint. CGA is no different. All too often, parents and prospective swabs try to "read the tea leaves" to figure out what is going on. If you give in to this habit, it will only drive you crazy. If you applied EA, I'm sure that you have put your best foot forward, now leave it in the hands of the highly qualified review board to make their decision. On R Day, this will all be a distant memory ;)
 
The staff are federal employees. They accumulate a certain number of leave days a year. They also get federal holidays (provided they're not on duty).
 
Besides my parents getting me to New London for a tour in April and CFAD in October and reviewing my application with me they have been rather hands off throughout this process. I told them I would let them know when my decision came in. I'm glad that's how we do it. I deal with the stress daily and I'm glad I don't have the pressure of my parents' stress too.

It's one of the reasons we like the forum....we vent our stress here, not to our kids. It's nice to have a place to seek some knowledge and some assurance. Good luck to all. I hope we hear soon!!
 
I think there will be no round 3 notification.....we all will have to wait unti 12:20ish. Just a guess.
 
DD did regular decision so my guess is we're going to have many more months to sweat it as the cut off date for acceptance is April 1st. BOO HOO!
