USCGA 2021 Appointments

Has anyone actually gotten their bear's den account updated or is this just coaches calling.

You posted at one AM is the tomorrow you're referring to the 16th or 17th?
 
Don't worry you all have just as much chance for any decision either now or on the 24th EA. If you are an athlete and haven't heard don't worry either... DDfound out on the last day and was a recruited athlete. LY the last day there were more than one type decision given.

I agree with this. Every one of you are still in this and you need to be positive in your thinking. If you haven't gotten a rejection then you are one hundred percent still in the game. Chin up!

I think you guys mistook my meaning, I'm just trying to find out when we should be hearing back. Please don't respond by the 24th I know, we all know. It's the final hours and everyone just wants to know one way or another. I think it's the stress of the whole application, I think most people at this point would rather just have a decision in their hand so that it's finally certain and they can stop guessing.
 
It's not like a regular college where we are wondering where they will spend the next. 4 years. This is a minimum commitment of 9 years and we are talking about 17 year olds. ..... would just be nice to know!!!
 
yes this is very stressful ... everyone just take a moment and breathe ... if this is like the earlier rounds - coaches seem to get a heads a day or so before ... if you are waiting to hear - i would guess by monday based on prior rounds

Got a call during school on the 15th. I'm on the west coast (pacific time). Bears den should update on the 16th (Friday) after 5pm eastern time (2pm pacific) for those in this round.
 
I am not a recruited athlete, so I was surprised to receive an appointment. Thank you all for the encouragement and kind words. Will the appointment packages be arriving soon? Best of luck to those still waiting...Christmas miracles do happen.

I was told that my packet would most likely arrive after Christmas because of the holiday break. I'm guessing those also receiving appointments around this time will be in the same boat. Congrats on your appointment!

Congrats on your appointment - EA is not just for recruited athletes - it is also for the highly qualified applicant that has all their i's dotted and t's crossed - you were ready and the review board saw that ... i have asked about the packets recently for those in round 2 (just before thanksgiving) i was told they are ready but are waiting on travel numbers from the CGHQ ... hopefully soon!!

Nothing here. Did get a call from my admissions officer a couple hours ago to make sure I was contacted by the track coach. Anyone else receive a call today? I'm beginning to think that coaches are getting their remaining athletes in first this round and other non-recruits will be reviewed and added to that list (announced Monday?).
