Increase in Military Spending

Considering the President has vowed to increase military spending, will this mean an increase in appointments to USMC and USNA?
 
Lots of planes, ships, and equipment need lots of maintenance and repairs. There are many stories of grounded planes, etc.
 
Appointments would probably only increase when they need to rapidly raise the number of troops, as happened in the first decade of this century. They can still increase the number of troops and use other commissioning programs to "top off", so I wouldn't be anticipating any real increase in appointments. JMPO.

Perhaps they should get the waste under control before pulling out the super sized check books...

Seems like Trump is working on that given deals with Boeing etc. No doubt there is a far, far way to go.
