SLE Acceptance 2017

I applied the first day and got accepted to week two on 2/24. Does anyone know how intense the physical part of the program is? How much/when should I begin training for it? Also is the CFA test mandatory to take there? What should my mile time be around?

I've read a lot about the program in the months leading up to applying as well as after receiving my acceptance. From what I've learned, the physical part is intense but not brutal as it is supposed to provide us with just a glimpse at cadet physical training. If you look at the example schedule provided on your portal, it shows training sessions every morning. We are required to participate in the CFA and are encouraged to try our best, but if you do not do as well as you like, you can retake it at home.
I'd begin training now, so you do not have to worry about injuries from increasing your training too much in the month or so before. Training really depends on how active you already are and the sports you play. For example, I've increased the amount of running I do to build up my endurance. I've also added more strength building exercises to my typical boxing workouts. I do this in addition to my spring sport because it isn't the most active sport.
Hope this helps! I hope to see you there since we are in the same week!
