2021- One month of CPR left!!!

did anyone still CPR ever get nominated past april 15th? I want to pay my security deposit to my plan B ASAP
I think only if they have been waitlisted (and therefore were notified that they were waitlisted on or before April 15th) or had an LOA pending medical waiver.

Honestly, I think majority of us with the CPR at this point will probably receive TWEs in the near term, unless your congressman's slate hasn't been reviewed yet, which I don't know if there are any slates left at this point that haven't been reviewed yet. There aren't that many appointments after April 1 based on reading last year threads.. Of course, one had to consider that the numbers of appointments have been very small in relation to the overall admission class, thus it is difficult to say with certainty what those trends indicate.

However, we have been able to make some observations based on very limited data from prior years, and so far they have been accurate. Having said that, there are a lot of unknowns about the admission process that I wished I had answers to..

I thought I was the only one seeing things this way and just like you I have gone thru the old classes to see how things unfolded around this period. Please do not get me wrong, I still remain very positive and hopeful but at this point people have to get a little more realistic. The chances are slimmer as the class starts to take its shape and with everyday passing by with no word from USNA, TWE will be the final response from the academy. Everyone can see that activity on the appointment thread has slowed down and will continue as we approach April 15. I urge everyone to start looking into paying for their college down payments because the next big thing we will be hearing after this month ends, will be from the people that were offered NAPS.

so, just to set realistic expectations for myself and others (and get adjusted to the new reality we might be facing next week)... Looking at past years threads, which I keep reminding myself may not be representative, there was a similar lul in appointments that we are experiencing now. Most of the appointments were given out by March 20 in the past (going back 3-4 years), and then by March 15th in subsequent years (admissions decisions get moved up by a few days earlier each year - consistent with the trend observed this year). There was a quiet period (like there is now) and then the next wave of TWEs hit on April 1. From that point on, there were only a few appointments trickling, my guess is mostly those that were waitlisted, and those are small numbers... They don't need to wait list that many candidates... So the time and the simple math is working against us folks - just want to acknowledge that - I am still hopeful, but no sense in hiding the ugly truth...

The wait list is relatively small. In past years it was thought to be around 100. Even then, very few to none have come off of it the last few years. USNA has an extremely high yield rate (appointments accepted) and have been slightly over their target number because of this.

Would an individual have been notified that they were waitlisted, or is this all taking place behind the scenes? Also, is it likely that most NAPS offers have gone out already?

We are each dealing with this and some are glass half full while others are glass half empty. I'm a half full person. I still believe CPR is a great place to be instead the TWE folks. I want my DD to get an appointment but I also am sincerely hoping all of my SAF people do too! You have to be in it to win it! And if you are still CPR then you are still in it! Please give yourself some credit and some optimism. You've come this far, soooo much farther than most. And really? If this is stressful, imagine the anxiety you'll experience leading up to I Day?!!! I hope to be able to have to deal with that stress next! ⚓

Yes, I believe you would be notified you are waitlisted, for the simple reason that you could come off the waitlist in May/ early June, which would be after April 15th and the admissions would be communicating with you up until then. As far as NAPS, we haven't looked into it, you could try to figure out that yourself based on last years threads (as to when the notifications went out). I believe my DS SAT scores are too high to qualify for NAPS, so we haven't spent much time/energy researching that.

I just want everyone to be stocked up on wine or the drink of your choice heading into next week. lol

I mean right now many of us don't really know what to think as April 15 is close by. Some people still have high hopes in receiving an appointment (I am too), while others seem to be giving up on the dream. Therefore I believe a second Wave of TWEs will surely tell the rest of us what our faiths will be. Personally I think there will be a few more appointments on SAF, then it will be taken over by NAPS offers.

Do you think if a candidate was not 3Q in say academics (worried low SAT's) that they would be TWE'd by now? DS is the primary nom for district. Lots of leadership and good grades in AP classes, but still CPR. I am trying to stay positive, but looking at last years thread.....few appt this late. Who else is CPR in Texas?

I know of three CPR candidates in Texas at my school alone.

I know mine has several CPR's as well. You are not alone.
