USCGA 2021 Appointments

They will probably send some appointments and TWEs tomorrow, because they didn't today.

My DS never got an email saying his app was going to the board. All he saw were check marks in his Bears den. The only email he got was when his decision was ready and even that came after it had posted in Bears den and we already new. He received an EA appointment in November

Conversely, my DD never got a notification that her app was going to the board nor the final check mark. She got an e-mail stating a decision was available, and then she had to hunt for that to get the good news!

Where did she find it in Bears Den? When was it?

There will be a small blue link I believe on the bottom left that says decision available. Click that and it sends you to the same place that you filled the application out in. There you will have another link to the letter. At least that was ours in the fall.

It replaces the Appliation Checklist in the Bears Den portal.

Still holding out hope. Nothing in Bear's Den. But until DS sees either a "We regret to inform you..." or a "Unfortunately, at this time..." response, he's still in the game. Best of luck to those in the same boat who have sat for months awaiting some sort of response.

Here are some stats for the class of 2015. Yeah, a bit old but not much available out there. I'm not sure how many were asked to complete DoDMERB's though.

Don't believe those numbers are for the class of 2015. The class that reported in June of last year (Class of 2020) had roughly that many, and that was the largest class to enroll for a number of years.

Large % of applicants get Dodmerb.
Below is an old quote from Objee.

We send approximately 75% of our applicants to DoDMERB, so it really doesn't mean anything other than you submitted all required application items and appear to be academically competitive for either a direct appointment or CGAS (Prep School) Program appointment.
