Claiming my Cadet Son on my taxes....

I still think Plebe year was O.K. though, because he lived with us for half of the year and with car insurance, food, money, clothing, phone, travel to the Academy and back a couple of times and everything else teenagers can dream up, I feel comfortable with the 50% that year.

However, no complaints here. Feeling blessed that my son got the opportunity that he did!

Better to learn you have a bad CPA on this subject than having him cost you thousands in penalties. Unless your taxes are complicated I would vote on Turbotax.
