Where is Everyone Taking Their ROTC Scholarship?!?!?! (Any Branch)

RPI's room and board scholarship is automatic. If you have a merit based or need based financial aid, it will automatically convert to a room and board scholarship. If you don't have any aid, you automatically get the R&B scholarship. It's a great deal at an expensive school. I am sure it varies from school to school, but most will be automatic.
My friends son is also looking into RPI & Rochester, but heard RPI is a tech school with extremely smart competitive kids where as Rochester is more diverse? He will major in systems or computer engineering. He is only interested in NROTC schools that offers full R&B, which is unfortunately limited.

RPI is one of my schools, however I am with Army ROTC. I can confirm that RPI gives a Room and Board scholarship to all ROTC scholarship winners.
Thanks for the info. I have heard RPI is a tough school thus difficult to get top grades vs U of Rochester. My friends son wants a good college & NROTC experience. Are you leaning towards RPI, what's your impression of the school?

My son is in his 2nd year NROTC at RPI. He loves the campus, and after having visited NROTC units at Penn St., Ohio State, Texas A&M (along with Miami [Ohio]) loved the size of the NROTC unit, which is around 100 for all four years combined. It is a tough school, as he and some of his friends can attest to, "recovering" from their 1st semester, which blind-sided them a bit.

DD 4 year NROTC-MO to University of San Diego. USD is allowing her to apply other scholarship money towards room and board. Honors dorm has a view of the ocean. Still CPR for USNA but plan B is firmly in place.

Was USD generous with their merit aid? A view of the ocean - can't beat that!

AROTC ECP scholarship going to MMI! Anyone else out there going to take the ECP route?

AROTC 4 Year Scholarship @ Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The Fighting Engineers!
My DS also has an AROTC 4 year scholarship @ Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology! We're almost 100% sure that is where he'll go. (He also has a 4-year NROTC scholarship to RPI, but he's leaning heavily to Rose-Hulman with AROTC.)

DS will use his AROTC Scholarship to attend Rose-Hulman. He will also join the Track team also. P.M. me if you can.

4 year NROTC placed at Cornell. Hear back RD this week, have Fordham/SUNY maritime as back up, while also wait listed at Notre Dame. I sense some paperwork is in my near future. Also waiting on word from USNA still.
