I was awarded a 4 year AROTC scholarship to UChicago #2 and NYU #3. I accepted the scholarship to UChicago, but I was denied admission to the school. I have been accepted to American University #4 and I am pretty sure I will be attending that school as long as the scholarship transfers. I am waiting to hear back from NYU, but American is now my preferred school for the fall.
I understand that in order to make the transfer happen, I need to send a statement explaining the transfer, a copy of my rejection letter from the school I originally accepted the scholarship for, and a copy of the acceptance letter to the school I wish for the scholarship to be transferred to.
My question is what else can I do to make this process go as smoothly as possible to receive an outcome that is in my favor? Are these transfers usually likely? Thank you so much for any insight you can provide.

The transfer is very likely, in fact I have never heard of one that has been denied. Just send in everything that you just listed and you should be good to go. You most likely won't get the transfer decision until the end of APR or early MAY.

Good morning, I am concerned that my DD may be in the same boat -though she is awaiting 3rd board decision. Who do you submit the transfer information to?

The transfer request is submitted to Cadet Command. The instructions on how to do so are included in the winner's packet.
