2021- One month of CPR left!!!

TWE for DD too in MI-06. Too soon to know if she'll make a go at it again--she's a bit broken up by this. She has a Navy ROTC scholarship to University of Michigan that she'll accept and pursue an engineering degree. Not a bad back-up for sure.

It's tough to see someone you love work so hard and do everything she could and not see it come to life. Summer seminar, nominations from congressman and both senators, awesome grades, good leadership, and mom a USNA grad. Just like many not selected, she's a great kid, with a bright future.

I do know that in any event, in 4-5 years, she will have the title of Ensign before her first name.

Congrats to those who have been selected and for those that were not, there are many ways for your dream to come true. I personally was a Navy ROTC college program who picked up a 3 year scholarship to pay for the rest of my college and had a fabulous time serving as an officer in the Navy.

Do you think if a candidate was not 3Q in say academics (worried low SAT's) that they would be TWE'd by now? DS is the primary nom for district. Lots of leadership and good grades in AP classes, but still CPR. I am trying to stay positive, but looking at last years thread.....few appt this late. Who else is CPR in Texas?
We are CPR Tx-22 without a nomination.

I'm so sorry to hear! I received the TWE today as well. As of right now, I'm going to reapply but it seems as though it's more likely that I'll be taking the path you did at civilian school. Still staying hopeful for USNA c/o 2022. Best of luck to your DD in her future endeavors :)

Well, the TWE came tonight. DD is holding up well, expectations have been adjusted by seeing all of the amazing applicants who were turned down earlier. She has some great options that she can now get excited about, not sure if she'll stay civilian or see something missing and try again. Thanks all of you for your help and company these last months, this is a special community that I'm going to miss greatly but perhaps I'll be back with DD or one of her 3 brothers.

So sorry mpete2150...been watching all of the posts from Michiganders like us, and was hopeful for you after your 'going to DC post'. I am sure she will do great in whatever she does!

Any of you who have heard back yet, when did you complete the application. I'm CPR still from South Florida. One of my good friends got his email today saying he didn't get in but I have still yet to receive any word. He completed his application around 1-2 weeks before mine thought. (My application was completed in January 31st due to a CFA delay)

We have been CPR since September, so I don't think when you completed the application means much unless you got an LOA.

So let me get this straight.... there is no rhyme or reason to the timetable by which USNA releases application status? As in, I could receive a decision (whether it be WL, TWE, or LOA) having submitted my application (January 25) before someone who has been CPR since Semptember?? If anything, this is an extended entry into the DoD, it feels like.... "hurry up and wait...."

Well the journey for my DD is over as well. She received the TWE this evening. Thanks for all the information received on this forum, and to all who took the time to answer questions. Congrats to those who got appointed and good luck to everyone still waiting! Who knows, maybe we'll see you next year!

Best wishes to all who received the TWE. Best of luck with your plan b.

On a separate note, it almost feels like admissions heard our comment last year about TWE being sent during the day when our kids were still at school and how hard it could be to hold their emotions. Seems like many were sent in the afternoon/evening this year.
