Appointees Tour

So how do appointees get selected for these tours? My DS accepted his appointment today but was told there are no more tours unless you were given an invitation. What does that mean???we were hoping to get to go to the orientation tour.

You may want to contact your ALO or Admissions, but it sounds like they have so many tour slots & they've been filled.

Does anyone know the policy on siblings for the tour? When I signed up, it only asked me to type in attendees who were over 18, so I put in my parents. Will my siblings be able to follow along with my parents as long as they pay their lunch dues as well?

we are in the same boat - DS got call March 8; portal updated March 16; have not received tour email yet.
I had to book flights so DS called admissions and got a 'soft' answer for the April 5 date.
Not such great timing with travel to CO involved and April 15 deadline looming.
Exactly

We are scheduled for the 5 April tour, but originally were told that a regular tour on 3 April would suffice. After receiving more details the 5 April appointee tour is far more appropriate. So after spending a decent bit to change flights we altered our initial plans. In the grand scheme this is fine and not a big deal. But the USNA appointment offer came earlier with a later mandatory commitment date. Approximately 5 weeks to make such an important decision when there are great other options has made USAFA offer feel a bit rushed. Again, this is not a complaint; just an observation.

Siblings should be just fine. The only one who needs to pay for lunch is the appointee. They are the ones eating with the cadets. Everyone else is on their own for lunch.

Those who attended an Appointees Tour already, please share your experience.
