My DD got her appointment almost immediately, but she was a strong candidate.
High ACT scores. Good grades. 3 letter varsity athlete in high school. Prior applicant. College ROTC, D1 athlete, college physics. Female airborne 12B.
For many of the soldiers if they feel they are otherwise strong candidates but there might be an issue academically they are probably considering them for MAPS. So don't give up hope.

We don't know. We just heard about the other candidate declining appointment last night and she has confirmed that with her FFR and state congressional coordinator. Now we are waiting to hear back from RC as to whether her file went to board this past Tuesday or will next Tuesday. Again, we are going on assumption that since she is #2 on slate, the appointment should now be hers but again cautiously optimistic until she has it in her hot little hands :)

DD just found out that the #1 on slate declined appointment and she is sitting in #2, so we too are waiting to see if this means an appointment on the way! Good luck to you and your DD, maybe next week we will both have some happy news to share! Remaining cautiously optimistic :)

We don't know. We just heard about the other candidate declining appointment last night and she has confirmed that with her FFR and state congressional coordinator. Now we are waiting to hear back from RC as to whether her file went to board this past Tuesday or will next Tuesday. Again, we are going on assumption that since she is #2 on slate, the appointment should now be hers but again cautiously optimistic until she has it in her hot little hands :)

Jilera1 - congratulations! If you don't mind my asking, which region are you guys located in? Our RC has been less forthcoming with info and I am curious if it's because it's a different region or my son has low prospects.

We live in the Southeast Region. She met him once, during one of his AIM trips, earlier this month.

We are Southwest and her RC has been very candid through process. She met him while on overnight in November.
