NROTC Board Review Schedule

Our portal is still the same....so we wait some more.....
We are in the same situation. Anyone got a guess from that list floating around from lasst year when the next release will be? There should be 2 more releases, and NavyNOLA said they all results would be out before 1 May.

From the 1st post on this thread it looks like a review around the 1st week of April with notification around the 22nd and then one towards the end of April with notification just before National Acceptance Day, May 1st. The problem with this last month review is that some schools require housing deposits and decisions to be made before the deadline. I've had my NROTC application in before the first review board and don't want to risk my attendance waiting until the very end of April. A Hail Mary pass doesn't always work but hard work does. Some words of wisdom from General MacArthur, "The best luck of all is the luck you make for yourself,"

Just got word: no scholarship. Not a big deal, plan b now in effect. NCSU as Marine option college programmer!
@needlasereyesurgerypronto and @Lulu3 - sounds like NC State is the winner this week. My son is most likely headed there too.

@needlasereyesurgerypronto I was not selected, and did college program for a year at Michigan before getting a three year scholarship back in the day. Keep working for it!

Alright! I'll probably see everyone at orientation. Can't wait for all this to begin!

The next board (second to last) starts this week, and the final board is currently scheduled for 18-21 APR. Results are typically out within 1-2 weeks after the board concludes. The board this week will also be reviewing ASR applicants, and the final board will also review MSISR applicants.

Thanks for the update. We weren't sure if it was one or two more boards.

DS's portal still says "no decision" so I guess he's still in the running. Fingers crossed and hanging in there. It seems like a long shot for anyone still waiting at this point... but lots of SOMEBODIES are going to get those remaining scholarships... why not us... or YOU? :) Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Just checking DS portal and it goes to a page as if he needs to start all over again. He was never notified the he was declined, does this mean he needs to start the process over again for next year?

You're likely navigating to the wrong link.

I wish I had discovered this forum earlier! Every post I've read is inspiring, whether

Same here SANE! Wish I had discovered these forums earlier. It's a treasure trove of information, wisdom, and inspiration! My DS's portal also says "no decision...", so we're in the same boat. He received a TWE from the USNA already and if he's not awarded an NROTC scholarship we still have a great plan C. There are many paths to being commissioned as a navy officer so good luck also to your future navy officer inSANEmom! I'm proud of our DS regardless of the outcome, his future is bright!

Found out on Friday that I received a NROTC 4 year scholarship to Union College. Here to answer anyone's questions about how I found out etc.

Got an email 2:01 PM on Friday, subject: "
NROTC Scholarship Selection"

Portal changed 30 minutes later.

Congratulations FastFood44. Looks like you'll be in my son's unit at RPI. Great group of young men and women.

I'm curious about the timing of the notification. It seems (based on previous posts in this thread) that all the notifications are made on a single day after the board, usually within a week or two after the board ends. It seems like the last board result was a few weeks ago, and the next one (for this week's board) might be next week or the week after.
Was yours MO? Or Navy?
thanks

Use the status link instead of the application link: https://www.netfocus.netc.navy.mil/nrotc/candidate_app/status_scholarship.aspx

The news is not likely good, as the accepted candidates seem to get an email telling them to check the portal, and my sons application portal access was removed so we had to go find this link, but good luck.

DS is at NCSU in the NROTC unit and doing very well! Hope to see you there!

Mine was Navy! Mine was about a week and a half after the board met.

I just read on another thread a question about transferring a scholarship. Here's the potential situation: a scholarship offer for a school that I didn't get into. My worry is that IF I do get the scholarship, it will be to that school, but I'll have to request a transfer to a school that I did get accepted to. As it is now, it is so late in the game that there may not be time to get a transfer before May 1. Navy NOLA, any insight into this situation? Will there be time the last week of April to receive a transfer?

You can still transfer the scholarship after May 1st. I worked with a student last year who didn't transfer his scholarship to us until the second week of May.
