2021- One month of CPR left!!!

While celebrating his 18th Birthday the TWE came..... he is licking the wounds and preparing for the next step. USNA is now plan B for next year! GodSpeed to all, Im not sure if this board has preserved my sanity or caused my insanity! I know we all learned that a celebratory dinner is no place to check emails!!

So another day down and no news.....but tomorrow will be eight days till they have to tell us something!!! It is really just about 5 days excluding holidays and weekends, so there is a 20% chance that you could hear something tomorrow!!!!

I thought 5 was the latest they could tell you, but I received an email at 9 PM yesterday saying that I was on the waitlist. So holdout you may hear today you never know.

I'm not sure anxious is a strong enough word. It has now become a mind game on guess their selection process and figuring probability of receiving a coveted appointment

Fortunately, DS doesn't follow the forum because if he did...he'd be crazier than I.

TWE for DD too in MI-06. Too soon to know if she'll make a go at it again--she's a bit broken up by this. She has a Navy ROTC scholarship to University of Michigan that she'll accept and pursue an engineering degree. Not a bad back-up for sure.

It's tough to see someone you love work so hard and do everything she could and not see it come to life. Summer seminar, nominations from congressman and both senators, awesome grades, good leadership, and mom a USNA grad. Just like many not selected, she's a great kid, with a bright future.

I do know that in any event, in 4-5 years, she will have the title of Ensign before her first name.

Congrats to those who have been selected and for those that were not, there are many ways for your dream to come true. I personally was a Navy ROTC college program who picked up a 3 year scholarship to pay for the rest of my college and had a fabulous time serving as an officer in the Navy.

We are currently still waitlisted for the USNA, but found out yesterday that DS was also awarded the NROTC at the University of Michigan, and he is very excited!
