Boot Info

View attachment 969 For any fellow civilian families out there struggling with acquiring boots for your appointee to break in, if you are interested in the Danner Rivot GTX they are on sale online
at harrysarmysurplus. We saved about $100 compared to ordering direct from Danner. DS found they run true to size for his running shoes.
It's been quite a learning experience. We've ordered and returned 4 boots from different stores at this point and set off all the fraud alerts with Citibank!

Thank you!

So I followed advice from this forum last year and was disappointed. We followed the instructions regarding Belleville's purchased prior only to have my son go through basic with heavy huge boots while others wore their not-waterproof sage green Nike boots (MUCH lighter and more comfortable). To make matters worse, they had to wear their basic boots for Recognition, so once again heavy clunky belleville's were dusted off and worn again. Get comfy boots and take them to basic!

Do you know of any lightweight recommendations comparable to Nike that come in Wide width? Any other brands or models that last year's basics were happy with? Any guidance would be very much appreciated!!!
