Anyone seen anything for Delaware? DS is still waiting. Has Type 7 ROTC but this delay makes getting him to focus on other college choices difficult.
Anyone hearing anything from NV?

For all those Californians out there, I have compiled two lists. First one is all the appointments for California posted on this forum. Second one is all the Southern Californians still waiting to hear. Hopefully I did not miss anyone.

KrisKatz, thanks for taking the time to compile this. Would anyone know approx how many are typically appointed from California each year?
We don't fully understand the meaning of a falcon scholarship. I have to admit I am so disappointed she did not get an appointment, I am almost ready to cry but don't want to do that in front of her.
Quite often here on SAF, the sponsored prep scholarships are referred to as the "golden ticket." For good reason.
One way to think about this is USAFA wants your DD so strongly, and believes in her, they are willing to wait for her, giving her the opportunity and the financial help to buff up whatever area they found lacking.
If she successfully completes prep, remains physically and medically qualified, and gains another nom (usually not a problem), then this time next year, you will be doing the happy dance.
The year away from home develops maturity and independence that will stand her in good stead and give her additional confidence. She will have a set of friends from prep, so she will already know classmates. There are cadets of all ages in the incoming class. Many are prep, multi-year re-applicants; not all are direct admits. No one cares once you are at USAFA.
These prep schools have a long history of success of helping SA applicants get their appointments. Jump on the website for Falcon scholarships and start looking at the schools.
She will not be behind. Take the long view. It is extraordinarily difficult to get into a SA. She now has a near-guaranteed seat.
If your DD wants USAFA above all, they have told her they want her, but she needs to do this one more thing. She is understandably doing a bit of grieving for the door that just closed, but there is now another one, standing wide open, that goes to exactly the same place. Let her think it through with heart and mind.
thank you for your information. We have been confused and worried she wouldn't get into the AFA next year. Between this information and speaking with a couple of the prep schools we have found out that the USAFA sets aside the 60 falcon scholarships appointments from the year before for appointments as long as she reapplies and gets good grades. So we will better about it.
Absolutely! I have a C1C at the academy and one of his buddies did not find out till May...not over till it's overI spoke to my MOC's assistant on Thursday. She said there will be offers going out thru the end of the month, not to give up. You know the ones that are having the 15th or 18th deadline to answer, if they decline, then their spots will be filled with people still waiting. No news is good news.

Congratulations! Still waiting here PA 13Hi! First off, Congratulations!! Secondly, at what time were you notified and how exactly ??
Two emails from USAFA Admissions at 6am EST this morning both with subject lines indicating there was a new message regarding offer of appointment.
Last year one email (with the TWE ) the subject line basically just stated there had been an update , and to check the portal.
No MOC contact, no ALO contact.
I think I have gone through the lists of appointments pretty good. But in case I missed it, has anyone seen and appt from TX-8? There doesn't appear to be a lot happening in TX.

My DS got a nomination from TX-35 (geographically narrow district that runs along i35 from San Antonio to Austin. I guess I should add his name.
