Congratulations TexasSoccerMom. I understand Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M graduates the highest number (or closest to it) of officers outside of service academies.
- Air Force 15
- Army 105
- Marines 15
- Navy 16
Texas A&M
prides itself on its military history. On Friday, more than 100 students will commission as officers in the U.S. military and join the Aggies who went before them.
Shelby Rittman, lead office assistant for the Corps of Cadets discipline office, said the group of students being commissioned this year is the highest since 1984. The Corps expects between 120 and 130 commissionees in the Army (62), Air Force (41), Marine Corps (10) and the Navy (18), Rittman said.
The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets and Virginia Tech ROTC units held a joint graduation and commissioning ceremony on Friday, May 13, to recognize 294 graduating seniors, 127 of which commissioned into the four armed services.
WELCOME to your DS and to your family! My DD is thrilled to be a MIDN 4/C in the NROTC Battalion and has had a tremendous experience this year. Please feel free to PM me as NSO (New Student Orientation) approaches if you need anything!DS has 4 year NROTC to Notre Dame....found out about scholarship after 1st Board so waiting on admissions decision has been excruciating. Found out tonight - he's in! Couldn't be prouder!
Notre Dame vs Yale NROTC.....Know quite a bit about Notre Dame and their NROTC. Do not know much about Yale's unit at all....other than DS is in at both schools. Found out about Yale yesterday and already has email from their CO.
