The Commandant of Cadets' staff didn't say there wouldn't be consequences for not following instructions, they just said they knew some wouldn't report with gray or black shoes. You can tell 295 current cadets (or midshipmen at USMMA/USNA or cadets at USAFA/USMA or ROTC students at civilian colleges) to do something and you also won't get 100% compliance, 100% of the time either, so I think they're just being realistic in their expectations given it's Day One of a 200 week training program.I am not in the CG nor do I have any kids applying to CGA, but I do have concerns about this statement.
