Good luck to everyone waiting, my daughter is also on pins and needles.

THIS! So so much this! We missed the opportunity for Summer Session (just didn't know in time to apply- boo! started the journey too late!) so this is a great additional opportunity! Hoping and crossing fingers! Good luck to your DD!

We've tried to keep busy but are impatient for tomorrow. My DD REALLY wants to go!
I hope these kids get good news tomorrow but I keep impressing on my DD that it's not the end of the world if she doesn't get in....there are so many kids applying for a relatively small number of spots. Hoping they offer them Cadet for a Day in the fall if they don't get into AIM. But honestly both her and I feel AIM will really be eye opening for those fortunate enough to be selected. I want so badly for her to have a realistic understanding of what Cadet life will be like; as much as that is possible haha. Lots of good vibes for everyone waiting (impatiently lol).

I know this might be over kill but does anyone know what time the decisions should be posted in bears den? Just curious

Admitted! So excited! Thanking God and my lucky stars! Congrats to all who applied, keep pushing forward. If you didn't get in, ask for a Candidate Visit. Make yourself into the best candidate you can be, keep on pushing. I am in shock!

Just found out I was admitted. Quick question... I know for USMA the actual application opens up early for those admitted to SLE. Does the same apply here? Also does AIM "Look good" to other service academies in comparison to their own? I guess what I am asking is if each summer program carries the same "weight" on a different academies application.

My DS was waitlisted. He is thrilled, since he retook the SAT after the application closed, and scored significantly higher. He has dreamed of the USCGA since middle school. Congratulations to everyone!

How did you guys find out? Email? Nothing there yet and nothing on Bear's Den, unless I'm looking in the wrong place??
Log into Bear's Den and click on the application tab. Under the AIM application there is a link that says your decision is ready or something like that. I clicked on that and the letter said I was admitted! Good luck!

Waitlisted. She's very disappointed. Will look and see if it's too late to get her into her Plan B summer program. Good luck and congrats to those accepted.

Thanks for the directions to check.

DS was waitlisted. Kind of bummed, actually, had no idea it would be that difficult to get in.

We really can't wait around to see if he's admitted by June 5 as there are other programs he's interested in attending this summer. Any idea how likely it is to get off the waitlist?

Yup same here. Also I really wanted her to see what a taste of swab summer would be like so she made an informed decision when applying. I'm

Waitlisted. Very disappointed. Been planning to do this since he was 10 years old. Does anyone know how many are accepted to AIM?. How big is each session? I vaguely remember reading somewhere that it is kinda a lottery. Is that true?

That's what I've heard as well. I believe 500 spots?

While it's disappointing to not receive a spot for AIM, there are many cadets who also didn't receive a spot when they were looking at the academy (speaking from experience). Look into other programs given to prospective students for during the school year. One perk of going during the school year is your DS/DD can see how the academy life really is. SWAB summer is only 7 weeks of your entire time at the Academy, while you'll be spending the majority of your time during the school year.
