Hello everyone! I want to reapply for the NROTC MO 4 yr. scholarship since I did not receive it last time around. Since I will already be a freshman in college do I put my info from high school again or from college? For example, I was not involved in sports in high school, but if I get involved in college can I put that on the application? Thanks in advance!

Include everything from high school, and then use the remarks sections and essays to cover college accomplishments. You can also use a college teacher, mentor, NROTC instructor, etc. as one of your rec letters and then they can expound upon your college performance.

I am assuming you're pursuing NROTC college program this fall? If so, that'll help you out significantly on the scholarship front, and your MOI will be a great resource. If not, I wouldn't expect a different result the second time around.

Yes I am! Even though I didn't get the scholarship I will still pursue a commissioning route through Texas A&M by joining the Corps of Cadets in the fall. I wanted to reapply because the assistance is always appreciated XD.

My son didn't get it the first time around. He picked up the 4 year scholarship after the early board during his freshman year while he was a college programmer.

He just started OCS Bulldog this week.

Keep pressing on.
Good luck to your DS. Those were exciting times. If you can get to graduation, you should do so. Awesome!

My daughter applied for the Navy option scholarship as a high school senior, but was turned down. She then set her sights on the Marine corps; she joined as a college programmer and applied for the national 4 year NROTC MO scholarship. As a college programmer, she knocked it out of the park as a cadet and with her PT, and because of her hard work she had an amazing recommendation letter from the Colonel in her unit. She was awarded the scholarship on the early board last fall.

Show up and knock it out of the park!

I was in the same position as you and managed to get on scholarship on the last board. All I can say really is that there is no magic to it. The Marines don't need mediocre officers, so you should keep that in mind. Show up with at least a 280+ PFT for your O-week. Grades are important but they are not the be all end all. I managed to get on scholarship with a 3.4 GPA in a business degree. The most important thing for you is to be in great shape and to impress your MOI and AMOI
