No email. We asked and were informed verbally. Nothing confirmed in writing yet, so we hope there are no changes.

We did receive an email on background check though. Did anyone start? Finished?

Right now, we just want the travel orders more than anything so that we could finally book our flights. Airfare keeps rising! Did anyone receive the travel orders yet?
 
My DD finished the one firm background check and also waiting for packet to make travel arrangements
 
Does anyone know if they have to go through a certain airlines or through the military contracted agency to make travel arrangements?

Wondering that too. For Genesis, we had to use Southwest only. Not sure for S day. We do have to go through military agency for our kids. Otherwise, we don't get reimbursed. Parents can book with them too or book on our own.

Yah, I went ahead and emailed Kessell this morning. Would like to get going on the next round of paperwork before DS goes on vacation, or know where he's going!

They go through the DOD travel agency once they get the travel orders.
 
Has anyone tried booking flights through ADTRAV yet? We were wondering if we had a choice of airline or limited to certain one so we can look through flight schedule before we made the call.
 
I have an answer for my own question, FYI. For us, they only had one contracted airline out of our airport. You might want to call first to see which airline is available at your airport before you can start checking schedule and airfare for the parents. We couldn't use any of the frequent flyer miles we were counting on.

It also cost us more to book through ADTRAV for the parents because of service fees. It was better to book our tickets on our own.

Contacted MMI and they told DS to go ahead and fill out the online application and send them his SAT and high school transcript.

My I gently recommend that you keep using this forum, or the Scholar's Facebook page to get authoritative answers to questions? Admissions, graduates, cadets and Admissions Partners do answer questions on both this and that site.
 
Did everyone get the recent email saying our travel day is July 16, not July 17? Do we necessarily have to fly on the 16th to get reimbursed? It doesn't mean we can't fly out a day or two early for the reimbursement, right? When is everyone getting to New London?

When DS made the arrangements he didn't pay for it, it's on orders. The reservation was also just tentative and they don't confirm it until right before the date. You get to fly a day earlier only if you live outside the continental U.S.. I believe that you must be in Leamy Hall on the morning of the 17th.
