New cadet visitation day

Access to the internet, facebook and a phone; some private downtime; junk food and a place to rest. Have had two cadets; both appreciated long calls home and with friends more than anything; one curled up and took a nap after a long call and was very appreciative. No need to entertain. The best is if you can beg or borrow a few ipads and cell phones. Such a great thing to do for cadets! Have fun teaching this year!
We have two iPads, one surface pro, two computers and three smartphones. I think we are covered! Thank you for the advice!

I hope you get my boy. Pizza and ice cream sounds awesome.

Spoke with my
NC and she sounds great. I hope all the hosts know how much we appreciate them and the hospitality they have extended to our NCs--Thank you!

DD mentioned in her call her difficulty with land nav. Does anyone know what happens if they do not pass this requirement? She was quite stressed.

What an amazing day! We spoke for over an hour. Got lots of momentum to finish Beast now. Thank you to all the hosts for this experience.
It was an outstanding day! Got to speak to & see our NC for about and hour. It was reassuring to hear the positive news about Beast and the process. THANK YOU to all of the hosts, you guys are awesome and we owe you debt of gratitude. West Point is truly a family and it is great being associated with such fine people.

And now, CBT I cadre can come home! Counting the minutes. :jump1:[/QU

It's always a pleasure to see your comments.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. She will be stressed out because that is the whole point of Beast. However, Beast is only the introduction to the army. She will improve overtime.

I'm sure our cadets will be more than gracious and grateful. Thank you for offering your home to them.
Are you allowed to share with us parents what the rules, regulations, and protocol is?
This might be a bit late but here it goes: The new cadets must remain in their uniform the whole time; no visit to the restaurants or malls is permitted; no photo sharing until Acceptance Day. Some of the protocols were shouted out to us through a mega phone at the time of pick up so that was fun. I did see USMA's official twitter account and Facebook account posted a couple of pictures though.
