Candidate status Class of 2022 someone?

DS got the email today but we are unable to load the log in page for the portal. Must be a lot of activity on there tonight! Good luck everyone!

Has anyone had their Second Step candidate kit opened yet? My portal is still pending.

Is there anything special I need to do to convert my 2021 application to a 2022 application? All my stuff still says "class of 2021" in my portal

Contact your RC. DD did not have to but she is sponsored prep so they handled it all in admissions. Not sure if re-applicants are different.

If every candidate gets a non-committal then how come it hasn't shown up on my portal or multiple friends of fine? Are you mistaking the email saying you file is open for the non-committal?

Why are you guys so concerned with the noncommittal letter? It really doesn't mean anything, and even if it did it's just barely August. Relax, we've got a long process ahead of us.

I hope this doesn't come off rude but quite frankly I could care less about the letter. I was just curious why it hasn't shown up if "everyone gets one." Even though it's August that's not an excuse to not complete the application as quickly, but thoroughly, as possible. Why wait until October to start?

You remind me of me;). It's just the way things work with this process--there's often variation among candidates for a number of reasons. Most notably, there are multiple RCs across different regions running on different schedules.

Sometimes there's just a clerical lag. For instance I got an email from my RC in December of last year congratulating me on being 3Q'd, but the 3Q letter didn't show up in my portal until March.

@BSCAR I resubmitted the Candidate Questionnaire and made a new password. Old materials like test scores carried over automatically. I hope this helps, but if you still have problems then I agree with Teragram: ask your RC.

Update on non-committal: RC told me they send it to all candidates. I'm just going to work hard and pray I'll get in.
I think you may have misunderstood the RC. They do not send non-committals to ALL candidates.

My daughter had good grades, high SAT, clean DODMRB and was a recruited athlete and still had non committal letter all the way to the end, even after nomination and appointment. I'm not really sure what significance the letter has or if it gets updated.

Non-Committal letters go to candidates that are 'Admissible' or "Competitive." That is why all candidates don't get one.
'Risk' candidates get the Non-Competitive letter telling them that their file will be closed until improvement is made in their file.

My portal opened up, but I did not receive either letter.
I would interpret that as you are a competitive candidate! Don't worry about a letter.
Finish your application as soon as possible to get the scheduling for the DoDMERB exam activated.

Odd question, but, how do you know when your portal opens? I've been able to log in since mid-July when I registered, but there is nothing posted for me. I don't have the option to do any essays or submit any CFA's. It just says, "--- Initial Evaluation Pending ---" . How will I know when it has opened up (I already have the non-committal letter since the day I registered)?

I got my non-committal a few weeks into August, which made me feel more confident since I was expecting to wait a few months at least. I keep getting emails/snail mail from WP saying "start your CQ" or "Upload your documents". I'm well into the processes of both the application and the nomination. Anyone know why?
