Multi-tool recommendations for AROTC

I want to get a multi-tool for my DD for AROTC. Any recommendations?

Can’t go wrong with leatherman or Gerber. I believe both will guarantee you lifetime warranty and quality. My dad gave me his childhood leatherman... it is still perfect other than a few cosmetic issues from strenuous use.

Are they both American made? There are many versions of these tools. Do you have any particular model in mind? Thanks.

All gerber tools are made in the US as well. Hopefully someone else will chime in. I am not sure which tools are necessary for ROTC. However, I do believe that having scissors on every multi tool is very helpful.
