Army ROTC notification date?

My son won a 3 year last year. When the red box was around Winner, he was actually a winner. It said right underneath that box what he won and had the three schools listed that had accepted the scholarship. It also said this, at the top, in a yellow box:
Your Scholarship Selection Status is Currently: Winner

Thanks kay, maybe we are prematurely celebrating here.

@Dadx4 I don't know that it's premature if it says winner. I'm not sure they throw that term around lightly. I just double checked .... when ours changed, the red box was around this: "Winner: This applicant has been selected to receive an offer of a 4-year or 3-year Advanced Designee Scholarship to up to 3 schools from the list of schools identified by the applicant in their application. The schools are selected from the applicant’s list based on availability of scholarships at that school at the time of the offer. If an applicant wishes to change schools, they must formally request the change by following the guidelines provided with their winner letter."

That's what ours says (the red box is around it like the others who have posted), but still boarded.

One more piece of information to watch for that I just thought of ..... (assuming the application website is still the same) .... watch the "File Upload" tab for the "winner letter" to be uploaded there. The letter to your child will be scanned and uploaded before the official packet is mailed.

Copy that kay. Thank you!!!!

Dadx4--my DD is the same but her schools of choice are not listed like kaydeeloo experienced. Until that WINNER shows up in top status we are pressing forward with all other plans/applications.

Agree. Cautiously optimistic.

are all decisions handed out at the same time or is it done in a couple day period?

He won't be 1st round. Maybe has a decent shot 2nd round, but I think will be okay in 3rd round.
Cedarville University is my first choice! Does he enjoy the program there?

He's a 2018 HS grad, so he's still in his senior year. I highly doubt he will be selected the 1st board with his GPA, but think he has a decent shot at the 2nd board, and a good shot if it goes to 3. He's been accepted to all of the schools he's applied to, but I think he's headed off to BVU regardless of AROTC scholarship. If he doesn't get one of the national scholarships then hopefully he will get one from the campus after he's been there a semester or so.

Oh ok, yeah so am I. I think that I'll go to the second board as well, my GPA isn't the best and my Physical Fitness Assessment went horribly.

Congrats to every0ne who received a scholarship! Looks like I'll have to wait till next board. In the mean time I have a question. How competitive is the first board? I was told I had a strong application with a 3.8 gpa 1280 sat, plenty of clubs and leadership positions , multiple varsity letters and captain, and two full time jobs. Along with good interview and pt scores. Not gonna lie, I was really hoping to get on the first board and have the notification in hand by Christmas. So basically are the first board scholarships for those who are top of the line with stellar stats? And do they give out more on the second and third boards?

I'm in the same boat as you and have similar stats. One of the ROO's told me that basically people than can get into Ivy League schools make the first board. Plus I've heard the majority of scholarships are awarded in the 2nd or 3rd board.

I do believe only like 10-15% of scholarships are given on the first board.
