DS has interviews with Virginia Senator Mark Warner and Rep. Bob Goodlatte Va-06. We heard Senator Tim Kaine does not conduct interviews. Both Warner and Goodlatte have two open spots this year. Playing the waiting game now.....
Mommydoc, for which Academy does Warner have two openings?

I see this is an old thread, but wondering if anyone can shed light on current specifics for WI nomination process. DS got a nomination from Sen. Baldwin, and then like a week later, a letter from Sen. Johnson's office that since Baldwin had nominated him, he wouldn't considered further for Johnson's. Posts here make it sound like getting both senator nominations used to be possible? So is this just a new WI thing? Or is this just because DS only applied to one of the academies? Pondering if it is it still possible for him to get our representative's nom, or if it even matters - ? Appreciate any insights.

I’m pretty sure Johnson and Baldwin don’t cross nominate; last year I got a nom to USMA from one and a nom to USAFA and USMMA from the other even though I specifically stated I only wanted USMA.

You can still get your the nom from your district representative. I did.

When did your DS get those letters? I still have yet to receive anything one way or the other.

The Baldwin nomination letter was waiting when we got home from Thanksgiving, so came 11/22 or 11/24. Johnson letter came 11/29. He is USNA only (maybe which SA matters on timing - ?) Good luck! DS said everyone he met at interviews was amazing, he was surprised to get a Baldwin nod. His B & G officer sat on a interview board for Baldwin and said level of WI applicants this year is especially competitive compared to what he has seen in the past. FWIW.

IL. He only applied to USMMA. Thinking the nomination was from his Representative because he just had that interview on Saturday but not sure yet.

DS's portal this morning shows Nomination - YES but he hasn't gotten an email or a letter yet so he doesn't know who it's from!

We are IL-14 and my DS interviewed with Congressman Hultgren’s board on Saturday. Yesterday his USMA portal updated showing a nomination from IL-62. Any ideas why it would show district 62? He has also applied to Senator Durbin.

Senate or Rep? I am from IL too...waiting

Not sure yet. He hasn't gotten any emails or letter through regular mail. He's thinking it is the Representative (Dist 14) because he had that interview on Saturday. Good luck to your son.

Did your son receive an email or letter yet from Hultgren's office notifying him of the nomination or did it just appear in his portal? The guy before my son was interviewing for USMA.

CA-17 nominations were sent out late last week and received yesterday. I was nominated. Thanks.
