Does anyone know if Booker, Menendez and Chris Smith coordinate nominations; i.e. confer to nominate different candidates on their respective slates? (I understand different parties involved and don't know if that matters)

Harris has 2 slots to Air Force. Unfortunately, a 1430 SAT, 4.16 GPA and HS varsity capt did not make the cut for an interview. On to plans B, C, and D.

IN-03 reporting, got the principal nom for USNA! Still waiting to hear from Senator Joe Donnelly though, but it’s a weight off my chest for sure.

Yeah, our interviews for him were on 10/14. Not sure what the deal with that is, but my guess is that there was an issue with something and it was sent down on the to-do list.

Ok Everyone - have a question on Nominations. DS got a letter from MOC which reads: “ I have nominated you as a Congressional Competitor to the USNA and USMMA. In addition you have also been chosen to receive a nomination to the USAFA.”

Any ideas how to interpret “Congressional competitor” and why would the wording be different for USAFA?

Al Franken's office "postponed" interviews 3 days before when they were to happen. Now he's announced his upcoming resignation. His office isn't taking calls. Does anyone know what could/might become of the interviews and or nominations from his office?

Has anyone in New Jersey heard back from Booker or Menedez? Or does anyone know when they typically let candidates know? Thanks!

I am a junior in HS interested in USNA and I am curious as to when MA applicants interview with MOCs? I have heard that MA is usually late in notifying candidates of their nominations, but I don't know for sure. My congressman is Bill Keating and senators are Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey. Any info on them and any MA news is greatly appreciated!

Hi, I don't have the same representative as you but I have an interview with mine (Seth Moulton) in January (very late, I know) and Ed Markey has been holding interviews for the past week and mine is this Wednesday. Haven't heard from Elizabeth Warren yet. Good luck with everything!

I'm a USMA applicant from MA-06. Representative is Seth Moulton and senators are Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey. I got an email from Moulton and a call from Markey recently about interviews, but nothing from Warren. Has anyone heard from her? Thanks!

USAFA is a guaranteed nomination per the wording. The competitive nomination means your DS, if eligible by Academy standards, is competing against the national list of other candidates.
