SLE Admission Status 2018

If you’re not cutting it this round, don’t freak out. There are probably more.

If you don’t make it at all, don’t freak out. Improve your file.

If you do make it, don’t be one of those kids who believe acceptance to SLE leaves you entitled to an offer from WP. Improve your file.
 
Is anyone else seeing the portal under maintenance notice on the portal website? I’m in the Mideast I don’t know if that has something to do with it..
 
Hello. I received this email immediately after being accepted to the SLE.

"Congratulations! Now that you have accepted your offer to SLE, please go
to your candidate portal and complete the SLE Offer Kit. All forms and the
registration fee are required before you may attend. Please read over the
information carefully and submit completed forms on your candidate portal.
If we have other information to put out, we will post it there as well, so
please check back often.

Attached is a copy of your SLE Attendance choice for your records."

Upon opening my candidate portal, I see:

Does anyone know if this is a glitch on my portal or if the SLE is yet to release these forms?
 
Received acceptance today, however it is bitter sweet in light of the tragedy that happened nearby at Stoneman- Douglas. It really makes you grateful of life knowing that at any moment all of your dreams and aspirations could go unfulfilled due to a random act of cruelty.

That. It is so important that we reflect and be thankful of the opportunities we have. It could have been anywhere.

I believe the forms will be released on the 20th with the payment information. As far as I know everyone who has been accepted has this on their portal.
 
Got acceptance email this afternoon! Am super excited, but still waiting on USAFA SS decision before I can commit.
 
would like to share that I got my acceptance email to SLE 2018 yesterday. Good wishes to all applicants, keep checking your emails, I can't wait to meet all of you coming to session 2, and to those waiting never forget Winston Churchill famous words "Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts"
 
My DS was fortunate enough to be selected to week 1 as well. Unfortunately, he is still in school. I emailed his guidance counselor to see how to handle this. Does anyone else have this issue?

Has he called the SA to see if he can swap into another week? It’s not an uncommon conflict. Time to use those phone communications skills !

I’m also still in school during week one. I live in NY so I have the regents exams during the week two SLE. I plan on taking any final exams a week early if need be. My school is ok with me missing 5 days for SLE as long as I work it out with my teachers ahead of time.

I am missing the last week of school for SLE Session 2. I will be taking my finals a week early, I worked it out with my principal before I applied. He is ex-military and I am lucky that he is so supportive of me (even if he’d rather I apply for Navy). Contacting guidance was a good idea.
